Developing the Next Generation of Ocean Leaders

Educate, Enable, and empower youth, educators, and communities with the knowledge, tools, and hands-on experiences to protect our ocean

The Ocean needs Urgent Actions

Young people are eager to help tackle environmental issues, but many feel eco-anxious and lack the knowledge, skills, and capacity to take action.

Educators want to guide their students through these topics, yet they often face a lack of resources, time, support, and expertise to teach them.

Families and communities would like to leave their children with a better future, but are unsure where to begin.

Meanwhile, environmental pressures continue to grow.

Oceanic Impact is on a mission to provide people with the knowledge and skills to take meaningful actions for the environment.

Rooted in Educational Experience

With over 30 years of combined teaching experience, our team has helped young people, educators, and communities learn about environmental issues and ways to take action. We use hands-on and innovative approaches that make ocean education fun and meaningful.

Our work includes events, workshops, keynote talks, and personalized advising and consulting. Our clients learn through engaging and practical activities where they also build leadership, management, communication, and other valuable skills that support their growth far beyond their experience with us.

Changes after working with us

When people understand the beauty of the ocean and its importance to our everyday lives, they will have the desire to protect it.

Youth develop Real-world skills, stop feeling powerless and start seeing themselves as a part of the solution

Students walk away with a better understanding of environmental issues and a deeper connection to the natural world.

They also develop transferable skills like project management, design thinking, leadership, communication, collaboration, and public speaking.

Educators (Teachers and Parents) feel supported and empowered to focus on teaching for impact

Lessons become easier to deliver and shift from “required learning” to curiosity-driven exploration.

Engagement and ongoing learning goes up

Communities sea clear, measurable actions that they can take

Whether it’s shoreline cleanups, litter, mapping, tree planting, invasive species removals, etc., we motivate people in various communities to continue to take action towards creating a better environment for everyone.

Clients, Partners and Supporters

I was fortunate to receive mentorship from Lisa while planning and launching my community project, In Your Nature. Inspired by her success in creating and scaling Let's Talk Butts into Oceanic Impact, I benefited greatly from her thoughtful guidance and practical advice. Her resourcefulness is something she has generously shared with me and has significantly shaped my approach to planning projects and seeking collaboration. I'm grateful for Lisa's mentorship and the invaluable support she's provided along the way.
